Castle Hill, Modern Bathroom

Large Family Bathroom

Finalist, KBDI Large Bathroom of the Year NSW.

This spacious family bathroom was part of a comprehensive renovation of a well-maintained 1980s Castle Hill home. Designed for three children, the original bathroom, with dated shiplap walls, a spa bath/shower combo, and separate WC, as completely reimagined to better suit the family’s needs.

Structural changes expanded the space significantly, allowing for a luxurious layout featuring both a separate shower and a freestanding bath. Practical design choices included large sliding mirrors that provide easy access to shelving behind, giving ample space for busy mornings and multiple users.

The design blends contemporary style with warmth through a thoughtful palette of finishes:

  • Metallic modern floor tiles paired with rustic 200x200 feature tiles behind the bathtub

  • Natural Carrara penny round tiles in niches

  • Warm timber tones in Laminex Sublime Teak cabinetry

  • Sleek Pietra Grey Caesarstone on nib walls

  • Contrasting black tapware and fittings, lending a striking yet sophisticated finish

The result is a bathroom that’s both functional for a family and visually luxurious, a proud finalist in the KBDI Awards.
